First outing of 2020 at another Morris Leisure site in Ludlow with Geoff, Jane & Jake (the dog). Much more skilled using Herdy now, we can even set the heating to stop us freezing overnight and wake up to a warm van.
We went for a lovely evening woodland walk as the sun set and the tall trees cast deeper and deeper shadows in the Mortimer Forest.
Saturday’s weather looked promising (for January) so a long 20k route through the countryside surrounding Ludlow was chosen, taking in views of the castle, the weirs and a variety of muddy fields and farmland, including Mary Knoll. Decamped to a dog friendly Rose & Crown in Ludlow – full of friendly dogs – great for us but not so for Jake who only likes friendly people!!!
