Loch Katrine

Loch Katrine is beautiful – a stunning lake surrounded by snow capped mountains, fringed with woods. We noticed that the car park had designated bays for motorhomes, and what looked like service points too.

Ben Venue from Loch Katrine

We walked on the north shore and up above the tree line, and watched as the showers passed and bathed the lake in weak winter sunshine.

The walk back on the lake side was wet. That fine soaking mist that gets everywhere and makes you feel cold. We bought soup and decided to make use of Herdy to be spontaneous.

Lentil Soup

We booked to stay overnight and once the coach load of French school children and the shop staff had left, had the place to ourselves.
