Stonehaven Queen Elizabeth Park Club Campsite, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, AB39 2RD, Scotland

Soulless is the best description of this site. A flat expanse of gravel and grass with a few trees around the edge. If it wasn’t for the centrally located shower block, you could see every pitch on the site from where ever you choose to park. Freshly painted white lines are obviously not enough, so there is a line of traffic cones to keep you on the right side of the road and the one way system is strictly enforced, despite you being able to see any other moving vehicles from at least 300 yards away. Not really our sort of site.
Facilities
Very clean & functional toilet & shower block. Motorhome service point has a wide grid and is easy to drive into in a 7m van so that gets a 👍 from us.
Why Stay Here?
Great location for visiting Stonehaven war memorial & Dunnottar castle (both worth visiting). Stonehaven has a lido but only open in the summer season. Stonehaven is also on the east coast main line so it is easy to get around by train (we went into Aberdeen from here). The station is at the top of the hill although the bus stop to Aberdeen is one road back from the site. Nice sea front & harbour just outside the site
